Industry Specific ComplianceThe Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) on September 09, 2025, issued the Draft Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for determination of Multi-Year Tariff) Regulations, 2025.

The following has been stated: -

•These Regulations apply in Chhattisgarh to STU, intra-State transmission licensees, distribution licensees, SLDC, and generating stations supplying to State DISCOMs under long-term agreements, except those under CERC jurisdiction or competitive bidding.

•They exclude stand-alone generators, captive users, bulk consumers, and projects with tariffs discovered through transparent bidding, except where SLDC services are availed.

•Tariff determination follows Sections 61, 62, and 86 of the Electricity Act, National Electricity Policy, Tariff Policy, and CERC Tariff Regulations, 2024.

•The framework is based on a Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) approach, covering ARR, tariff determination, investment approval, truing-up, uncontrollable item pass-through, and sharing of gains/losses.

•Special provision is included for determining the input coal price from integrated coal mines.

The objections/suggestions, if any, can be submitted by September 30, 2025.
